Owners Want Donated Land Back From Tiger Sanctuary

BLOOMSDALE, MO (KTVI-FOX2now.com) – During the past three years, the tiger sanctuary near Bloomsdale, Missouri, has developed a nationwide reputation for caring. But, two weeks ago, they got word that the owners of the donated land want it back. A gloom now hangs over the facility, even though its newest arrival tries to cheer them up. Sheena is the sanctuary’s newest resident. She was rescued by humane society from a puppy mill in April near Springfield, Missouri.

Owners Judy McGee and her husband, Keith Kincaid, have received word that they must vacate their premises. The owners of the land donated it for the sanctuary and now want it back for a bed and breakfast.

Judy and Keith are now trying to find a new sight for eight tigers and a cougar. The mayor of Rockaway Beach, Larry Cline, says he’d love to relocate them and is working to find them a site.

The non-profit facility is in dire need of funds for the move itself and for rebuilding pens at a new location.
