Rosamond Gifford Zoo launches tiger cub webcam

Onondaga County Executive Joanne M. Mahoney today announced that the Rosamond Gifford Zoo’s tiger cub triplets, born May 7, can now be seen online via a live webcam at rosamondgiffordzoo.org/tigers.

”In just under a month, the tiger cubs will go on exhibit,” Mahoney said. “In the meantime, this live stream offers zoo fans the unique opportunity to see the cubs before they are introduced at the zoo.”

The cubs — two boys and a girl, named Yuri, Kuza and Misha — are about three months old. The cub cam will offer a live look daily from dawn to dusk.

During the past few months the cubs have been learning to groom and play with one another, zoo officials said. They are nursing less and less and increasing the amount of meat they consume, soon to be completely weaned from Tatiana, their mother.
