Kristine’s Bobcat Rehab Overnight Kitten Report

MALACHITE – Malachite napped in his hut most of the afternoon. I may have missed him come out to play for a short time, but he was a sleepy boy for the most part.

Later Karma came in to clean his cage and after she was done and had left, he was out playing. He played with his blanket and bed for a while, after trying to cover his food plate, lol. Then he played with his scratching post attacking and biting the top, lol, then he found his stuffie and played with it, batting it around and flipping it all over. So cute!

After a while, he settled down in his back cage to cuddle up and take a nap. A little later he woke up and played some more with his stuffie, batting it all over until it landed in his food plate, lol. He played in his back cage for a while too, hopping around back there, lol.

Then he got all cuddled up in his blanket in his back cage and settled down for another nap. Later overnight he woke up and played for a little while in his back section. He came to the front of his cage to look around the room and dig in his blanket and water bowl, lol. Then he went to his back cage again to cuddle up on his hut and nap some more. As I write this, he is still in his back cage napping on his hut. He is too cute!

FLINT – Precious Flint played in the afternoon for a while. He is loving the block by the camera, he lays there and plays with it, batting at it and he rubs his face on it, lol. He ran around playing with his toys and scratching post for a bit and then he pulled his blanket over by the camera and got comfy and cozy to take a nice nap.

He napped there in front of the camera and by the block for quite a while, then he woke up and went right to playing. He brought his stuffie over on his blanket by the camera and played with it there for a bit. He batted it around and wrestled with it and ran around the room with it in his mouth. He played in his box a bit and then he came back to his blanket to lounge around for a while.

Then Karma came in to clean his room and give him his Bemer treatment. After he got back to his room, he, of course, checked everything out, going from one thing to the next, lol. So cute! Then he played up a storm. He found his stuffie and ran around carrying it in his mouth all over the room, then he took it to his blanket and played like mad with it there, wrestling, kicking and biting it. Then he would pounce and slide around on his blanket with his paws all spread out, lol. He’s too cute!

After he wore himself out he settled down and got comfy on his blanket for a nap. A little later he woke up and played for a short time. he played with his hut, attacking it and dragging it all over. He eventually took it to where his blanket was and got all cozy on top of it, to take another nap.

Later overnight, he woke up and wandered around his room, then he played on his blanket with his stuffie and with his triangle scratcher. He played for just a little while and then he fell asleep right where he was playing on his blanket. As I write this, he is still all curled up back there napping. He is too precious for words!

ASH and CINDER – Ash and Cinder spent the afternoon napping in the front section and hiding, lol. Keepers were there working on the rehab enclosure next to them, so they stayed hidden behind the den while they were there. Ash napped by the den for quite a while, too.

Cinder must have napped behind the den because I didn’t see her until later when she found dinner and sat to eat for a while. After she was done and walked away, Ash found her leftovers and played with it for a bit. Then they wandered around the front section for a while. Then Ash lounged by the fence in the corner by the opening to the front left side, while Cinder wandered around some more.

Then Ash went into the middle section and Cinder stayed up front to pace the fence. After a while, she decided to go find Ash, so she disappeared into the middle section. Later I saw them for a brief moment in the very back section, on the tall platform, then they disappeared.

Later, not too long before light, Cinder came into the front section and started pacing the fence, real fast. Then Ash wandered up there too and sat on the Coolaroo, looking out over the other rehab enclosures. They just wandered around checking things out. They slept a lot of the night and afternoon, so I don’t have as many photos of them for today. As I write this, they are still wandering around the front section and playing a bit. They are too cute!
