**NEWS** Rescue of 4 new cats – Happening NOW
Four new cats are on their way to the sanctuary, right now!! A team of Big Cat Rescuers led by Big Cat Rescue President Jamie Veronica has traveled all the way to California to rescue four exotic cats from the now-shuttered Wildlife Waystation sanctuary.
The team flew to California, rented a large van and purchased bedding for transport crates and other supplies, loaded up their precious cargo of four new cats and is now on the road for the 2500-mile journey home to Tampa!

Day Two of the Loomis Bros Circus protest in Brooksville. A HUGE THANK YOU to BCR Superstars Jen, Lacy, Lisa, Beth, Amy from BCR FB, and a lone ranger at the Fairgrounds, Maureen, for standing tall and getting our talking points across to each and every car driving in with their amazing posters. You ladies are awesome! I feel very proud to stand tall with such passionate advo-cats!
A very special, huge THANK YOU to BCR friends Jen and Tammy for standing in the heat with me at the Hernando County Fairgrounds to protest on behalf of the Loomis Circus’ tigers and elephants. We were successful in communicating our talking points via our posters and presence. It was a big success, IMO, and I am grateful for the support. And thank you to Susan B. for gently guiding me (behind the scenes) through my first official tiger circus protest. You are all rock stars in my book.

Great day today everyone!!
Thank you to Mary G., Bethany, & Candy for coming to feed and clean today. During cleaning Aleesa, Taylor, and I cleaned the section of Lovey Bobcat’s enclosure closest to the tour path. Fred, Mazz, and Diane Amison-Loring scrubbed the dens and platforms in there also.
After a late lunch Candy, Taylor, Dylan, Fred, & Diane cleaned up Beacher Savanna Cat’s old enclosure while Abbey & Cassidy worked on food prep. Everything looks great! Dylan did a drive around at the end of the day to pick up some large branches.
Lots of work done today!

Kristine’s Bobcat Rehab Overnight Kitten Report
FLINT – Precious Flint played up a storm after being brought back in from outside. He checked out everything in his room. He attacked his palm tree post tearing at the palm leaves, then knocked it over and wrestled with it, lol. He sat on his other scratching post and played with his box enrichment, then he found his hut and played and played with it.
He is too cute! He gets his hut, puts his head inside and then runs, rolls and does somersaults with it, lol, the hut rolls right along with him. Then he sits inside of it and rolls around attacking the outside, lol. So cute! He has so much fun with his hut! He played with his stuffies like mad, carrying them around and wrestled with them, biting and bunny kicking them.
He played with each stuffie, blanket and scratching post until he wore himself out and settled down on his hut in front of the camera to take a nice nap. Later he woke up and played like mad for a short time. This time he even played with his water bowls, I heard them clanging around. He ran around the room with his stuffie in his mouth, then wrestled with it some more.
He played with his post and triangle scratcher, then he went to his hut that was now in front of the block and cuddled up on it to nap some more. A while later he was back up playing up a storm. He wrestled with his stuffie right in front of the camera. Oh my goodness, he is just too adorable!
Then he got his other stuffie and played with it and the scratching post that was laying down. He would pick up his stuffie with his mouth and drop it on one side of the post and then go over pick it up and drop it back on the other side and did that a few times, lol. He made a game for himself, so cute! He wrestled with his palm tree post for a while, too. he ran around and around his room, wrestled with is stuffie some more and then finally wore himself out.
Then he curled up on his hut which now was back behind the triangle scratcher, for a nice nap. As I write this, he is still napping behind the triangle scratcher all comfy on his hut. He is too precious for words!
ASH and CINDER – Ash and Cinder were in their secret hiding spot for a lot of the afternoon again. In the late afternoon, Cinder came up front and wandered around the den and then she must of heard something in the pipe because she pounced at the opening, but there was no rat, lol.
Then she sat on top of the den for a bit and bathed. She wandered around smelling things for a while, sat in the tall grass looking around and then she paced the fence on the right side for quite a while. After it was dark she went to the middle section to find Ash. Not long after that they both came back up front to the left side and cuddled up in the grass by the pipe to nap for a while.
Later when they woke up, they went to the right side to look for Malachite for a bit. They sat on the Coolaroo looking over there together. So cute! Then they wandered around the front and middle sections for a while. Then they got playful and zoomed around chasing each other for a bit, before settling down in the corner by the opening between the right and left sides, to bathe and then nap.
After a while they woke up and wandered around, went into the middle section and then came back up front to wander around some more, stopping once and a while to sit on the Coolaroo and look for Malachite. Then they started in zooming again, chasing each other really fast, leaping over the logs as they ran through, lol. So cute! Then Cinder went back to pacing the fence and Ash sat on the Coolaroo looking for Flint.
As I write this, they are playful again and started chasing each other, they played on the hanging shelf, then they wrestled in the grass by the pipe and are still wrestling and zooming around. They are precious!
