Babycakes’ enclosure was cleaned with the help of four red shirt project volunteers.

The gift shop looks fantastic! There was lots of help getting it organized today.

We started cleaning Keisha’s enclosure. By the looks of it, a lot of palmettos have been trimmed.

Babycakes and Divinity are back in their enclosures. Though Divinity was happy to be out of the hospital, it took her a few minutes to actually leave the squeeze cage.

Babycakes will need his fan put back out tomorrow.

Both hospitals need to be thoroughly cleaned tomorrow also.

Zeus seems to be doing well. He is eating, drinking, pooping, and sleeping 🙂 Thanks for everyone’s hard work keeping him happy!

Afton’s New Video about Zeus Tiger

Zeus the tiger was rescued with chronic eye issues that received no medical attention. He has had surgery on it and has been given eye drops since his arrival to Big Cat Rescue. He experienced a severe complication of his eye rupturing that resulted in emergency surgery to remove his eye.

 Letter To Management

Dear Sir/Madam:

I am writing on behalf of all the residents of the sanctuary regarding some unusual things that have happened in the Windsong Memorial Hospital.

1. Is it REALLY necessary to post all our private health information for everyone to see? Does everyone have to know our weight? I guarantee that HRL Nikita’s weight would never be put on display. Someone’s head would roll if that were the case. Have you never heard of the HIPAA laws? We may have to consult Catz, Kats, Morekatz & a Rat about this.

2. Now, really, with all the scientific breakthroughs this is still the way you are taking temperatures? That’s just … rude. No wonder we can’t sit down for days afterwards! I’m told there are things in drug stores that will take your temperature from your ear or even your forehead. Let’s move into the modern age here!

3. Although it’s nice to get a manicure while getting a procedure done, the person doing it obviously needs to go back to cosmetology school to learn that you paint the nails NOT the toe pads!

4. Last but not least …. Well, I just have no words for this picture. This is just disturbing on so many levels. We understand that probably the anesthetic gets to everyone, but really – smelling our feet?

In closing, we hope that you will consider changes regarding Nos. 1, 2 and 3. As for No. 4, well … there has to be a support group for that somewhere.

Signed,

The Residents of BCR
(Sent via Lori D., Secretary to the Cats)
