Keeper Kathryn’s Coordinator report for Friday 9/22/17

We were slim on help today but everyone busted their butts!!

Branches got picked up and cleaning and tours were covered.

Zeus is doing very well, remember to check on him to make sure he has shade and keep his water bowls filled. He has cicles in the small freezer that are the right size for a 2×4 wire. Offer them often.

Will is back outside in his enclosure with Ana. His supplements are in the med cabinet in Food Prep. The supplement has to be put in gelcaps like we use for Little Dove’s Tramadol. He gets half a scoop ( blue scoop in the bottle) takes about 5 to 6 capsules. His food needs to be made fresh because we add water and the supplements right before he gets fed.

Trash needs to be picked up at the party house from the event.

We are still working on Keisha’s cage. Sticks are still all over especially behind the barricades, we need to make sure cleaners are bringing them out to the tour path.

The cat hospital is empty!! ( knock on wood) but we still have a lot of hospital laundry to get through. Both Hospitals need a deep cleaning.

Memorial tiles need to go back out since we collected them before Irma.

There are 2 metal shelves at the end of the freezer that are for organizing the cleaning stuff. They need to be put together. Our fabulous wish list supporters provided them generously!! – ask Kathryn about this project before starting please!

White canvas awning needs to be put back on the metal frames at the end of parking across from Food Prep. Just the one in the back, the one in the front is being moved.

Wow sounds like a full weekend!
That’s it for me!
Kathryn

 Jade Leopard Update

Yesterday we called the vet because Jade was feeling pukey, and the original intent was to bring her into the hospital, but later in the day she was feeling better and keepers were able to get some meds into her to sooth her stomach. She may be reacting to her medication for the hot spots, so that dose was lowered a bit to see if she can still have the benefits of the drug without the side effects.

P.S. Remember to choose BigCatRescue.org/smile and Big Cat Rescue as your charity so that Amazon will donate .5 percent of your shopping dollars to the cats AT NO COST TO YOU!!!  Over the past few years that we have been purr-ticipating in the Amazon Smile program YOU ALL have raised $44,760 for the cats!
