Saying Goodbye to Skipper

Our beloved Skipper has departed. Dr. Justin performed a necropsy on Skipper Lynx and found that his liver was hard and covered with white blisters that will most likely come back as cancer. His lungs had a blackish red tint indicating that he could have thrown a clot that resulted in his quick passing. (Only a few minutes passed between a keeper reporting that he was panting and him dying) as we were bringing the cart to take him to the hospital to cool down.

The only good thing is that he was in good health and spirits right up until the last couple of days when he started eating only half of his meals. Thank you, everyone, who gave this beautiful cat a second chance at life and all of the love any cat could ask for.

Coordinator Report – Jennifer Ruszczyk

Busy day today with projects and signoffs for volunteers and interns. Luckily we had lots of volunteers and interns to help get everything done. Thanks, everyone for being a great team!
