Three tiger cubs die at Mysore Zoo

MYSORE: In a setback for captive breeding of big cats, three tiger cubs have died at the Mysore Zoo.

Kaveri gave birth to the three cubs on Saturday, which have died. The Zoo has now decided not to pair Kaveri with any other tiger for breeding. According to the Zoo, Kaveri didn’t take care of her newborn cubs leading to their deaths. This is second time she has done this. In November, 2011 she gave birth to a cub, which died within five days as the cub was refused by the mother.
