Tiger attack survivors expand lawsuit

Posted: Thursday, 21 May 2009

SAN JOSE — The San Jose brothers who escaped the Christmas Day tiger mauling at the San Francisco Zoo are expanding their lawsuit to include the San Francisco Police Department, the police chief, and crisis-control PR agent Sam Singer.

Paul and Kulbir Dhaliwal claim they suffered emotional distress when police officers threatened to arrest them.

They also claim Singer orchestrated a smear campaign designed to turn public opinion against them.

The Dhaliwal’s survived the attack that killed their friend, 17-year-old Carlos Sousa Jr.
