Amur tiger cubs Zoya and Grom have been moved into the big tiger yard at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, where they will make their permanent home.
Zoya, a 90 pound, 7-month-old female, was born at the zoo as part of a breeding recommendation from the Amur tiger Species Survival Plan. Grom, a 133-pound 8-month-old male, was born at the Pittsburgh Zoo and moved to Colorado Springs three weeks ago to be Zoya’s companion.
