The tiger’s public birthday celebrations start on April 5 and continue until April 20 with their own 20-minute Cub Chaos presentation at 10.30am daily. This is in addition to the regular Bengal tiger presentations at 12 noon and 3pm at Dreamworld.
Born on Dreamworld’s Tiger Island on March 31, 2007, Sumatran sisters Indah and Rahni have grown in leaps and bounds and are now weighing in at a healthy 65kg, almost two-thirds the size of an adult Sumatran tiger.
With fewer than 400 left in the wild, Sumatran tigers are listed as one of the world’s most critically endangered species by the Convention for International Trade of Endangered Species of Flora and Fauna (CITES).
The young cubs’ birthday celebrations include tiger face painting, tiger pawty packs, paw printing giveaways, and tiger-orange fairy floss. For mums and dads, cubcakes and cubbaccinos are available.
