Tiger wanders out of the woods creates panic

MYSORE: A tiger has wandered out of the woods gripping panic among the villagers at the border of Nagarahole national park.

The big cat is believed to be injured given that it has attacked cattle on Friday and returned to the same location within 48 hours. The forest department is hoping that the tiger, which is hiding in the sugarcane field, will get back to the wild late in the night once it feels secured. As a precautionary measure they are also trying to net it and have moved a cage to the site located some 400 meters away from Metikuppe range.

The tiger was sighted at Dasanapura, 50 kms from Mysore.
