CNN Poll Shows 90% Agree

That U.S. Zoos Should be Closed Down

We agree.  Take the poll and let them know how you feel:

Absolutely! America should close its zoos, circus acts and any other use of big cats. These animals belong in the wild and will never get the protection or funding they need as long as they are viewed as property in the U.S.

Join the Movement to Build Safe Communities for Cats This National Feral Cat Day®!

National Feral Cat Day® is coming up in just 65 days (not that we’re counting)! It’s time to start planning for the big day—October 16, 2013.

For our 13th annual National Feral Cat Day®, we’re calling on our supporters nationwide to hold events to build humane communities and raise awareness about feral cats and Trap-Neuter-Return. This year, we’re focusing on shelter transformation since there’s no better way to create sustainable change for cats. And since YOU are the architects of change for cats in your community, we’re asking you to take the National Feral Cat Day® Challenge: help your local shelter adopt lifesaving policies and programs to save more cats’ lives.

Not sure where to start? Our brand new National Feral Cat Day® 2013 website will show you the way. It’s an all-inclusive resource with all the “blueprints” you need to host a successful event—and to build a safe community for cats by advocating and partnering with your local shelter.

Every event host who registers an event in our interactive, searchable listing will receive a National Feral Cat Day® 2013 Guide for Community Change event start-up kit and an Alley Cat Allies staff contact for direct, personalized support.

We can’t wait to see what you do to help your community’s cats this National Feral Cat Day®!

Sincerely,

Alley Cat Allies
