Truth in Fur Labeling Act goes to President for Signature

Say No to Fur
Say No to Fur

Thanks to all of you who wrote your lawmakers this year, the Truth in Fur Labeling Act has passed the House and Senate and is before President Obama for his signature into law. This bill requires manufactures of real fur garments, or those with real fur trim, to label the garment as real fur so that consumers do not accidentally support an industry that they abhor.

Another big win for domestic cats this year was the adoption of a bill that bans Crush videos where kittens, puppies and other small mammals are crushed on film for the perverted pleasure of some sick individuals.

These wins cannot happen without your voice. There are still some important bills pending. Please add your voice so they can make it into law before the end of the year at CatLaws.com
