A white Bengal tiger named Havar is ready to greet visitors at the Abilene Zoo.

The 325-pound male tiger, which was donated to the zoo by Busch Gardens Tampa Bay in Florida, arrived earlier this week. Havar is approximately 8 years old.

The Abilene Zoo is located in Nelson Park, off Highway 36, at 2070 Zoo Lane. It’s open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursdays Memorial Day through Labor Day. The zoo is closed New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
