4/7/06 8 hours ago
(WCCO) Sandstone, Minn. A woman was mauled to death Thursday evening in rural Duxbury, Minn. by a tiger, according to friends and neighbors.
The woman, who was in her mid-40s, was licensed to keep tigers on her property. It is unknown how may tigers were kept there or what happened to lead to the mauling.
Her parents and son were reportedly all at home when the attack occurred.
A representative of the WILDCAT sanctuary said she was called to the residence to tranquilize a tiger, but was told her services were no longer needed when she arrived.
Duxbury is 90 miles north of the Twin Cities and 15 miles east of Sandstone, Minn.
