The only speaking you should be doing during the tour, is to guide people along, or answer specific questions, but you should encourage your guests to hold their questions until the end of the tour, because the stories will answer just about anything they will think of and by letting them know that in advance, they may listen for information that they want to know.
When you end at the small cages, that is the opportunity to really shine. I had been asked by tour guides and staff to NOT include the big call to action in the way of a recording so that the guests could experience the full passion of our volunteers and could make that personal connection. It is the one aspect, and the most important one, where we really do want our guides to summarize the need for a federal bill to ban public contact with big cats and to ban private possession. If that was the only part of the tour that our people had to practice until perfect, it can make all the difference in the number of people who would go inside and call their lawmakers on the spot.
