Re:  G.W. Exotics and Joe Schreibvogel at the mall

If anyone at your organization had just googled the name of the people who dragged baby lions and tigers to Courtland Center Mall in Burton, Oklahoma they would have found plenty of reasons to deny their request to set up shop in your backyard.

Associating yourself with animal abuse does far more harm to your brand than you may realize.

Here are just a few of our poll results:
Should animals be inbred to create coat colors that do not survive in the wild?
Answers Percent Votes
1 Yes 8% 308
2 No 92% 3392

All white tigers are inbred to create the white coat.  It is the only way to get a white coat in a tiger and always results in the cat being cross eyed as their optic nerves are wired to the wrong side of the brain by the same gene.

Should big cats be made to perform in circus acts?
Answers Percent Votes
1 Yes 10% 1222
2 No 90% 11046
Do you think big cats should be exhibited at fairs?
Answers Percent Votes
1 Yes 15% 1647
2 No 85% 9052

Did you know that having your picture made with a cub will result in that cat living a miserable life in a tiny cage, or that he may end up being killed for his bones, skin and meat?
Answers Percent Votes
1 Yes 47% 111
2 No 53% 127
Zoos say that having animals in cages causes people to support them in the wild. Based upon the amount of money that you have given to protect habitat, based upon seeing an animal in a cage, would you say this is True or False?
Answers Percent Votes
1 True 33% 1693
2 False 67% 3398

In addition to being cruel, these traveling circuses are endangering the public.  The following is a partial listing (592) of incidents in the U.S. involving captive exotic cats since 1990. The U.S. incidents have resulted in the deaths of 21 humans, 16 adults and 5 children, the additional mauling of 196 more adults and children, 173 escapes, the killing of 94 big cats, and 126 confiscations.  These figures only represent the headlines that Big Cat Rescue has been able to track.  Because there is no reporting agency that keeps such records the actual numbers are certainly much higher.  http://bigcatrescue.org/big_cat_news.htm

The display may have attracted some ignorant people, but not the kind who can afford your products and services.  Please join the growing list of retailers who refuse to enable these traveling side shows to continue breeding and exploiting exotic animals.
