Candy Caracal

“I remember Candy and Hunter and how gentle she was and how ferocious he tried to make us believe he was and how lost he was when she passed and that he followed her into death soon after.  Their spirits and personalities have driven me to try to save them and others  even more than I could have thought possible”…..Lisa, Volunteer Keeper

“Candy got her name because her disposition was much sweeter than any other caracal.  Even though she was fully clawed, she never used her claws against those who cared for her.  She had become both deaf and blind, but she coped with it so well that most could not even detect it. When I think about Candy and how she dealt with life’s adversities, I only hope that I can face adversity as well as she did.  She was a very unique little caracal who demonstrated to all of us how to remain positive no matter what life deals us. I hope that she is now experiencing the wonderful life she truly deserved”…..Julie, Senior Volunteer Keeper
