BIG CAT RESCUE – Hurricane preparation!!!

When hurricanes threaten Florida, Big Cat Rescue is ready, willing and able to provide shelter to exotic cats who may be in the storm’s direct path, or that may be in cages that are less likely to withstand hurricane force winds.

Contact us at 813.920.4130 or Info @ BigCatRescue.org if you need shelter for an exotic cat during a hurricane or tropical storm.

CharityNavigatorIf you would like to donate to Big Cat Rescue to help cover the cost of taking in exotic cats from other facilities during a crisis, or to cover the care and cost of protecting our own cats, be sure to note that on your check or at the time of making your donation online here: https://bigcatrescue.org/donate/

Checks can be sent to Big Cat Rescue at 12802 Easy St Tampa, FL 33625

Should Big Cat Rescue raise funds in excess of what’s needed to respond to this particular crisis, then the funds will be redirected to where the need is greatest.

Our preparedness for all manner of peril is detailed more fully here: https://bigcatrescue.org/critical-incident-hurricane-and-disaster-plan/

Below are some videos of past hurricanes and how Big Cat Rescue prepared for them and survived them.

We’re always prepared at Big Cat Rescue! Listen in as  a former Director of Operations walks around the sanctuary explaining our procedures and what we do to prepare for a potential hurricane. From securing our cats into the safety sections of their enclosures, pulling down hazardous dead trees, getting all supplies stocked up and ready, nothing is left to chance.

Big Cat Rescue is a non-profit educational sanctuary home to many unwanted and abused exotic cats like, lions, tigers, leopards, lynx and bobcats.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
