Bobcat Rescue Attempt July 3, 2018

Jamie Veronica took a crew to see if they could help a bobcat who was hit by a car at 2:15 today in Mulberry, Florida. Carole called the rehabber who had given us Foxtrot and her husband also went to see if it was a bobcat.

The weather moved in on the teams and they have not been able to find the bobcat or any trace of him.  They beat the bushes for miles on either side of the road at the point of impact but couldn’t find him.  They are having to give up.

While they were out there searching the guy who actually hit the bobcat called and gave even better directions as the where he remembers hitting the cat but they were still not able to find the cat or any signs of him.

We called all of the local vet clinics to see if anyone brought in a bobcat, but none of them have seen one today.

We called all the local vets to see if anyone brought in a bobcat.

Jamie will be absolutely exhausted by the time she gets back to Tampa and soaked, but she’s planning to give a bobcat rehab talk to our volunteers at 7:30 PM ET tonight and we will stream LIVE.

NOTE: The bobcat in the header photo at the top of this page is Breezy Bobcat that lives here at Big Cat Rescue and is NOT the wild bobcat we were looking for.
